U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, convened and staffed by the U.S. Public Health Service, is evaluating the scientific basis of various preventive services to develop age- and sex-specific recommendations concerning their appropriate use in clinical settings. Over the course of the next few years, the Task Force will review clinical evidence, practice standards and implementation issues in an effort to facilitate practitioners' incorporation of efficacious preventive interventions into clinical practice.
